Leaving Phoenix, heading to London, then after that: UGANDA!

Hello all! :) i am waiting to get on the plane in Phoenix, and i am not sure how long of a flight it is to London....but doesn't matter because i am exhausted! The last couple days have been amazing! Nothing but packing and hanging out with Amberley, Mom, Briana, Liesl, Caity and family! I feel like the countdown was just at 2 months yesterday! Then next thing i know i'm waiting at the airport to get on the plane :) i am sooo excited. I am not nervous, i am so anxious that the nerves are being ignored! I arrive in London tomorrow at 2pm their time. And then at 9pm i am leaving for another red eye to Uganda!! i get to uganda at about 825 am. It is perfect, after i arrive they will take me to Mukono District which is where the Volunteer guest house is. I will stay the night there and then the next day will be taken to my village! oh the excitement! Thanks for tagging along and i will be able to update asap when i get to africa!

I'd say wish me luck but i got pooped on by a bird yesterday at breakfast, so i hear that is good luck. haha!!

23 days!

Hello everyone! It is official, i leave in 23 days! How crazy does that sound?! i am absolutely excited and anxious for my arrival. I leave Phoenix on January 30th and 9pm. Then from there i fly into London, and wait for 7 hours! : ( but then i board the next plane for another red eye to Uganda!! i am so so excited!

I got my shots for my trip two days ago... I got eight! and i also am taking malaria pills. lets just say my arms are veeery sore. haha. All of the pre-trip things i have to do excite me even more and more each time! i am so excited!! i will hope to be able to update and write a new blog each week at least once. In my village i dont have internet connections, but in town i will be able to have access to internet on the weekends. i hear it is the slowest of the slowest internet! but oh well, its all part of the culture shock right! : )
